Southern Illinois Railcar Company's sales and marketing staff provides our customers with more than 30 years experience in railroad and fleet management services. The Southern Illinois Railcar Company staff can provide in-depth knowledge of the car markets and railroad related issues affecting this market. We buy, sell, place, and manage equipment for leases in the short, intermediate and long-term. Our short-term leases can be designed to meet customer-specific requirements, which allow the customer to shift the long-term equipment leasing risk to their equipment supplier. Southern Illinois Railcar Company can provide leasing strategies for both trip and unit train needs. We provide capacity, allowing our customers to take advantage of lower transportation costs by providing varying size blocks as required by individual railroad tariffs. By placing equipment to a wide customer base, we are able to establish relationships between separate customers utilizing shared equipment.
